Job summary

People2.0 is seeking a Payroll Manager in Amsterdam, split between office and remote work. You will lead a payroll team responsible for accurate, timely payrolls across the sub-region, ensuring compliance and high customer satisfaction. The role reports to the Head of Payroll and Billing within the EMEA function.

You will monitor KPIs, manage workloads, and drive continuous improvement while coaching your team and implementing best-practice payroll processes.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and Dutch.
• 7+ years of progressive payroll administration experience, with 5+ in supervisory roles.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
• Strong analytical skills with data interpretation for process improvement.
• Experience using BI or reporting tools to build and analyse payroll-related reports.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing payroll team.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll for your sub-region, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Set objectives, prioritise workloads, and drive KPIs.
• Develop and maintain payroll policies and controls in line with legislation.
• Stay updated on payroll regulations and implement process improvements.
• Collaborate with Finance, IT and stakeholders to streamline processes.
• Provide training and coaching with regular updates and documentation.
• Lead the implementation of new payroll systems and enhancements.
