Job summary

People2.0 is seeking a Payroll Team Leader in Amsterdam to drive accurate, timely payroll delivery within the Netherlands. You will lead a high-performing team, coaching staff, ensuring compliance and KPIs are met, while collaborating with Finance and IT to streamline payroll operations.

The role reports to the Head of Payroll and Billing within the EMEA Payroll and Billing function; hybrid work is available with two days in the office.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and Dutch.
• Experience running end-to-end payroll for the Netherlands.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
• Proven track record of process improvement.
• Analytical skills with data interpretation for process improvement.
• Able to use analytical tools such as BI to build reports.
• 7+ years in payroll administration, with 5+ in leadership.
• Payroll certification is highly desirable.
• Experience in staffing industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing payroll team; oversee workload and performance.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll process for accuracy and compliance.
• Set objectives, prioritise workloads, and drive KPI performance.
• Develop, implement, and maintain payroll policies and controls.
• Stay up to date with payroll legislation and mitigate risk.
• Collaborate with Finance, IT, and stakeholders to streamline processes.
• Provide training and coaching; maintain documentation.
• Promote continuous improvement within the team.
• Lead implementation of new payroll systems and enhancements with IT/vendors.
