Job summary

Corendon’s W Amsterdam property seeks a Night Welcome Desk Agent to join the Welcome Team. You will be the face of the hotel at night, ensuring guests feel safe, welcomed and cared for, while supporting the night operations and delivering memorable experiences.

You’ll work a dynamic night schedule from two iconic buildings near Dam Square, with access to staff benefits, training and opportunities within Corendon. Priorities include guest satisfaction, safety, and flawless night audits.

Qualifications

• Experience in Front Office, Reception or Guest Services.
• Excellent communication in English; Dutch is a strong advantage.
• Comfortable working independently during night shifts.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills.
• Experience with hotel management systems is an advantage.
• Service-oriented mindset with a passion for hospitality.
• Flexible, proactive and solution-focused.
• Able to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests during the night and ensuring a smooth check-in/out experience.
• Acting as the main point of contact for guests during overnight hours.
• Handling guest requests, questions and complaints professionally.
• Performing night audit procedures and ensuring financial transactions are correct.
• Monitoring arrivals, departures and room allocations.
• Maintaining accurate guest records and updating hotel systems.
• Coordinating with Security, Housekeeping and other departments.
• Handling night phone calls and emails.
• Keeping lobby and reception organized and presentable.
• Creating memorable guest experiences with attention to detail.
• Providing information about hotel facilities and local attractions.
• Handling emergencies and following safety procedures.
• Supporting other departments as needed and team collaboration.
• Preparing reports and handover to morning shift.
