Job summary

Forexx Group in the Netherlands seeks a Technical Specialist Ergonomics to apply human factors engineering to naval vessels and training environments, focusing on reducing risks, improving usability, and safety on board.

You will work across physical, cognitive, organizational, and linguistic ergonomics, collaborating with engineers, project managers, and suppliers. Willingness to travel internationally is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with project experience.
• Experience with human factors and ergonomic standards.
• Fluent in German and English (spoken and written).
• Familiar with SAP, IBM DOORS and 3DX.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute HFE plans for ship systems.
• Conduct ergonomic analyses of ship systems and HMIs.
• Perform task-based assessments and derive design requirements.
• Draft Ergonomic Assessment Reports and advise on workspace design.
• Collaborate with engineers, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Support integration of COTS equipment with usability focus.
