Job summary

Nevesbu is seeking an engineer to tackle naval vessel challenges based in Den Helder, coordinating with teams in Den Helder and Rotterdam. You will engage directly with the client, implement engineering modifications, and monitor progress to ensure feasible and effective solutions for on-board systems.

You will develop in-depth knowledge of naval vessels, think holistically, and proactively explore new project opportunities while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Completed HBO or WO degree in Maritime, Mechanical, Electrical or Naval Architecture.
• Strong customer-focused approach with ability to communicate in Dutch.
• Ability to think holistically and adopt a solution-oriented approach.
• Affinity with naval vessels and technical systems.

Responsibilities

• Work on naval vessel technical challenges and engage with the client to develop solutions.
• Be the direct contact for the client in Den Helder and coordinate with Nevesbu teams.
• Plan and carry out engineering modifications to improve on-board systems.
• Monitor quality and progression of projects and identify bottlenecks.
• Visit engineering departments weekly to support the client and seek opportunities for Nevesbu.
