Job summary

Nevesbu, part of Iv, seeks a Naval Designer to translate requirements into design for naval vessels and offshore structures. You will develop plans, layouts and 3D models ensuring manufacturability and high performance under harsh conditions.

You will collaborate with engineers, review supplier drawings, and mentor teammates while delivering work on schedule. Proficiency in English is required and CAD tools such as Rhino and AutoCAD are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with 3D modeling and CAD software (Rhino, AutoCAD).
• Preferred: experience with CADMATIC, Microstation, and 3D scanning.
• Experience with plans & arrangements and outfitting.
• You can mentor colleagues and evaluate work.
• Proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Translate technical requirements into naval vessel and offshore structure designs.
• Develop plans, layouts and 3D models for manufacturability and functionality.
• Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines to ensure integrated designs.
• Review supplier drawings to meet interface specifications.
• Mentor designers and drafters and monitor quality and progress.
• Deliver accurate designs that meet schedule constraints.
