Job summary

Nevesbu in Rotterdam seeks a Structural Engineer to work on technically complex maritime projects. You will translate customer requirements into specifications for hull structure concept and basic design, and you will produce construction plans and major structural drawings.

You coordinate technical content, liaise with suppliers and act as the central coordinator with other disciplines, ensuring high quality and feasible design.

Qualifications

• A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in Maritime Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in the field.
• Interest in variety of projects (submarines, floating offshore units, special vessels).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage and motivate others.
• Up to date with latest developments and able to contribute to innovations.

Responsibilities

• Work on hull structure concept and basic design.
• Create drawings: construction plans, major structural integrations, modification and demolition drawings.
• Coordinate technical content and maintain contacts with suppliers.
• Act as central coordinator with all other disciplines.
• Ensure high-quality and feasible design across complex projects.
