Job summary

vidaXL is seeking a hands-on Technical Service professional to keep our warehouses running smoothly in the Venlo area. You’ll maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems and other equipment, contribute to improvements, and install new machinery as needed.

Preferred candidates hold an MBO in a technical field and have 3–5 years of experience in a technical service setting. Dutch language skills are essential, with English as a plus. We offer a competitive package and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Preferably a completed MBO diploma in a technical field such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
• 3–5 years of work experience in a technical service environment.
• Experience with logistics (sorting) systems and/or conveyor technology is a major plus.
• Good knowledge of Dutch; English is a plus.
• Actively contribute ideas for improving, optimizing, and expanding the logistics process.
• We expect you to be eager to learn and able to work independently. In return, you’ll be given a great deal of freedom and responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on machines including conveyor systems, strapping, sorting, labeling, and vacuum lifting equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
• Contribute to optimization and continuous improvement of existing machinery.
• Install and commission new machines when purchased.
• Develop maintenance schedules with technicians and manage inspections/replacements.
• Help ensure operational continuity and on-time order delivery.

Together with our other jack-of-all-trades (a.k.a., Technical Service Employees), you’ll ensure that all warehouses run smoothly. The most exciting challenge right now is maintaining our conveyor systems, which handle about 200,000 packages every week. This involves troubleshooting malfunctions that can be mechanical, electrical, electronic, or software-related. That’s why we’re looking for that all-around person. If you feel that one of these tasks falls outside your scope, that’s certainly not a problem. One of your colleagues can help you with it—provided you’re interested, of course.

You will:

• Perform preventive maintenance on various machines, including conveyor systems, strapping machines, sorting systems, labeling systems, and vacuum lifting equipment;
• Troubleshoot both electrical and mechanical issues;
• Act as a key contributor to the optimization and continuous improvement of existing machinery;
• Install and commission new machines and equipment when purchased;
• Develop maintenance schedules together with fellow technicians, determining when parts need to be inspected or replaced;
• Play a crucial role in ensuring operational continuity and helping us deliver customer orders on time;
