GXO Logistics is seeking a strong Logistics Team Lead for our expanding operations in Heerlen. In this role you will lead by example, inspire your team to deliver top‑notch performance, and play a key role in optimizing logistics processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage team performance; develop associates by providing training and coaching.
• Manage a team of coordinators both FTE and flex staff.
• Instruct, inform, and support employees to carry out work safely, efficiently, and correctly, in accordance with applicable standards including KPIs and productivity.
• Maintain a safe work environment with a positive team dynamic.
• Lead start‑up activities with cross‑functional teams.
• Make recommendations regarding new hires, terminating contracts, performance evaluations, and promotions.
• Ensure documents, work instructions, and processes are up to date and followed by the department.
• Continuously strive to improve department processes.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position within logistics.
• Good communication skills at multiple levels in English; Dutch is an added advantage.
• Enthusiastic and flexible attitude with a self‑starting ability.
• Good knowledge of office software and WMS functionality.
• Ability to quickly understand processes and continuously improve them.
• Motivating leadership style that energizes and engages larger teams.
• Flexibility to work in a 2‑shift system (6:00–15:00 / 15:00–00:00), including alternate Saturdays, within a 40‑hour working week.
• ‘Can‑do’ attitude with a creative mindset.
