Job summary

GXO Logistics in Almere seeks a Warehouse Team Leader to drive the daily operations of the warehouse, leading a team of associates, executing plans, and ensuring top-notch service levels. This hands-on role emphasizes coaching, safety, and process excellence at a fast-paced site.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in logistics management, strong Dutch and English communication, and solid experience with MS Office and WMS. LEAN knowledge is a plus, and shifts require flexibility.

Qualifications

• You have intermediate vocational education in retail Logistics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• You have at least 3 years of experience in a managerial position within a logistics environment.
• You are familiar with the MS Office package and WMS functionality.
• LEAN Warehousing knowledge is desirable.
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English are essential.
• Be self-driven and resilient with the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
• Excellent reporting and presentation skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, providing ongoing feedback, training, and support to drive engagement and success.
• Deliver operational excellence by achieving KPIs, ensuring accuracy, productivity, and service quality across the operation.
• Plan and manage team resources effectively, including workload allocation, shift scheduling, and workforce planning.
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive working environment, proactively addressing employee relations matters and promoting a strong team culture.
• Support key operational initiatives and business start-ups, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation.
• Contribute to talent management activities, including recruitment, performance reviews, development planning, and succession planning.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer service and operational support.
• Maintain operational standards and process documentation, ensuring teams are trained and up to date on policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Champion health, safety, sustainability, and compliance, driving continuous improvement and supporting GXO's environmental and operational objectives.

As a Warehouse Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for the efficient day-to-day operation of the department with particular emphasis on managing warehouse associates and implementing warehouse plans.
