Job summary

Jobgether is representing a partner company in the Netherlands for a Lead Software Engineer role (Node.js | React | TypeScript). This senior technical leadership position combines hands-on development with architectural problem-solving across frontend and backend, delivering scalable, high-quality web applications.

You will own end-to-end features, drive design decisions, and mentor engineers while maintaining high engineering standards, testing, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of professional software engineering experience across frontend and backend.
• Advanced proficiency with Node.js and TypeScript; strong React 18+ experience.
• Proven API design and integration experience with external services.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, and code reviews.
• Ability to own features end-to-end and lead technically.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, maintain, and continuously improve high-quality web applications using Node.js, TypeScript, and React 18+.
• Take ownership of end-to-end features, from design through deployment and optimisation.
• Design and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and integrations with external systems.
• Create responsive, accessible UIs with React, Tailwind CSS, and TanStack Query.
• Implement secure auth using OAuth/OIDC and session-based mechanisms.
• Lead engineering standards with automated tests, code reviews, and CI/CD.
