Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Technical Leader (Fullstack Backend focused) in the Netherlands for a high-impact fintech role. You will shape backend architecture, technical standards, and the engineering roadmap while remaining hands-on.

You will lead a team of engineers, design scalable APIs with TypeScript and Node.js, collaborate closely with Product, Frontend, and DevOps, and help introduce AI-powered practices to improve velocity and quality across the platform.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend development experience, incl. 4+ years in leadership.
• Strong TypeScript/Node.js capability with NestJS or Express.
• Experience designing scalable APIs and distributed systems.
• Cloud familiarity (AWS) with CI/CD and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineering team with strong engineering practices and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Product, Frontend, DevOps, and other teams to deliver scalable technical solutions.
• Architect, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using TypeScript and Node.js.
• Design systems for high availability, performance, security, and zero-downtime deployment.
• Own backend direction and roadmap, balancing delivery with long-term maintainability.
• Improve reliability via testing, monitoring, observability and incident management.
• Leverage AI tools and emerging tech to boost productivity and quality.
• Evaluate new technologies to enhance the platform and process.
• Translate business needs into robust backend architectures and communicate with stakeholders.
