Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to drive the technical direction of data pipelines and data warehouse layers. You will lead cross-team collaboration, mentor engineers, and deliver robust data platforms using Prefect, Python, and SQL.

You will influence platform evolution, ensure reliability, and work with Product, Engineering, QA, and ML leads in a dynamic, cross-functional environment across Europe, ideally commutable to Amsterdam.

Qualifications

• Experience leading data engineering teams and driving architectural decisions.
• Hands-on data engineering with Python, SQL and data pipelines.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with healthcare or life sciences data is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and delivery of the data platform (pipelines + warehouse).
• Standardize patterns, reduce operational overhead, and improve reliability.
• Mentor data engineering colleagues and manage work intake.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA, and ML leads.
