Job description

When you join GAR, you join something bigger. Big in scale, big in opportunities to grow, and big in impact. With over 100,000 employees across 14 countries, spanning Asia, Europe, North America, and South America, Golden Agri-Resources (GAR) is one of the largest agribusinesses in the world. We manage over half a million hectares of palm oil plantations, including smallholder farms, across Indonesia. But our size is only part of the story. Since 1997, we’ve put sustainability at the centre of how we grow, working hand-in-hand with farmers, communities, and partners to deliver food, fuel, and a better future.

We’re a seed-to-shelf business rooted in palm oil, now expanding across other essential crops like sugar, soybean, sunflower, and coconut.

Our people are our edge. We invest in them through global opportunities, cross-border exposure, and continuous learning, because growing a better business starts with growing our people.

Here, your career feeds something meaningful for the planet, people, and generations to come.

We’re seeking a proactive, hands‑on Junior Logistics Specialist who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and takes initiative. In this role, you’ll collaborate with external partners—from customers and suppliers to transport companies—and work closely with our Operations, Commercial, and Finance teams.

You should be curious, analytical, and eager to make a real impact within a small, dedicated team where every contribution counts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute purchase and sales truckload deliveries in line with contractual requirements and operational priorities.
  • Maintain clear communication with terminals, hauliers, and customers to secure loading slots, arrange nominations and resolve daily operational issues.
  • Serve as the primary operational contact, providing first‑line support to address bottlenecks and execution challenges across customers, vendors, and terminals.
  • Monitor contractual positions, identifying and escalating risks such as delayed payments, loading constraints, or product availability changes.
  • Prepare, verify, and issue logistics documentation, ensuring full accuracy of weights, references, PO details, customer instructions, and product identifiers.
  • Perform timely and accurate system updates, including delivery execution, shipment statuses, invoicing workflows, and credit/debit adjustments.
  • Support workflow and process improvements, contributing to streamlined logistics, operational efficiency, and cross‑department alignment.
  • Review, validate, and approve invoices in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Manage quality‑related issues, coordinating the resolution of claims and customer complaints with professionalism and urgency.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including SOP development, data quality enhancements, and ERP process optimization.
  • Foster a reliable and supportive team environment, assisting during peak workload, emergencies, or colleague absences to ensure operational continuity.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree level
  • Exposure to Supply Chain
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
We Offer
  • An entrepreneurial, international environment that values growth opportunities
  • Competitive compensation with employer pension contributions
  • Local and global training & development programs
  • Health insurance contribution
  • Healthy snacks and drinks in the office every day
  • A fully sustainable office in Utrecht, easily accessible by public transport
  • Fun and engaging company events—outings, Christmas dinner, and our first well‑being month focused on employee wellness and social connection

**Please note that we often incorporate an assessment and reference checks in our selection procedures.

**Golden Agri-Resources is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. We welcome all qualified candidates and consider applications fairly, regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or background.
