Job summary

Granot Fresh, part of the Granot Fresh Group, is seeking a proactive Supply Chain & Operations Coordinator in Maasdijk, NL. You will own end-to-end international shipments, coordinating with Israel and service providers to ensure on-time delivery and cost control.

You will develop KPIs, manage inventory at Cool Control and customer sites, and lead process improvements across the supply chain in a fast-growing, globally connected organization.

Qualifications

• BSc (HBO) level working and thinking.
• Substantial experience in international logistics, supply-chain operations or import/export management.
• Strong working knowledge of ocean freight, container logistics, customs, warehousing.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch or Spanish language is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate full end-to-end visibility of all international shipments from origin departure through port arrival.
• Take over operational ownership from origin teams at the handover point to ensure no information or documents are lost.
• Coordinate shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, ports, warehouses and other logistics partners.
• Monitor delays, disruptions and customs issues; lead corrective actions and keep stakeholders informed.
• Develop operational KPIs, routines and exception reports covering shipment performance, inventory, costs and customer service.

Granot Fresh is part of the Granot Fresh Group, a cooperative of 43 villages in Israel that is specialized in the sustainable cultivation of avocado and citrus. Granot Fresh is responsible for coordinating and organizing sales to the customers worldwide. The team is looking for a person who owns the operational process from the moment shipments leave the port of origin until final delivery to the customer. The role is the principal operational counterpart to the Logistics Manager in Israel and ensures that all international logistics activities are managed as one coordinated supply chain. It combines shipment control, inventory visibility, service-provider management, customer execution, cost awareness and continuous improvement.

Position

A proactive logistic specialist

• Maintain close, structured and frequent coordination with the Logistics Manager in Israel on shipment plans, vessel schedules, container allocations and, documentation.
• Create full end-to-end visibility of all international shipments from origin departure through port arrival.
• Take over operational ownership from the teams at origin at the agreed handover point and ensure no information, documents or responsibilities are lost.
• Coordinate shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, ports, warehouses, Cool Control and other international logistics partners.
• Monitor delays, rollovers, transshipments, customs issues, temperature events and other disruptions; lead corrective actions and keep stakeholders informed.
• Manage and reconcile inventory at Cool Control and customer locations.
• Coordinate customer orders, warehouse activities, transport and delivery appointments.
• Control freight, handling, storage, demurrage, detention and other operational costs.
• Develop operational KPIs, routines and exception reports covering shipment performance, inventory, costs and customer service.
• Lead process improvements and support the implementation of digital tools, interfaces and standard operating procedures.
• You report to the Director of Sales Europe and the Logistics Manager in Israel.

Job requirements

• BsC (HBO) working and thinking level.
• Substantial experience in international logistics, supply-chain operations or import/export management.
• Strong working knowledge of ocean freight, container logistics, customs, warehousing.
• Proven ability to coordinate cross-border teams and external service providers under time pressure.
• Experience in fresh produce, food, temperature-controlled logistics or other perishable products is strongly preferred.
• Comfortable working with ERP, shipment-tracking, warehouse and reporting systems.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch or Spanish language is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel periodically to origins, service providers and customers when required.
• Analytical and commercially aware, with a strong understanding of operational cost drivers.

Honderdland in Maasdijk. Easily accessible from Den Haag, Rotterdam, Gouda and close to the A20.
