We are seeking an IT Engineer (m/f/x) to join our Central Services IT team, supporting colleagues across the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Germany and the United Kingdom.
As an IT Engineer, you take ownership of the systems that keep Waterland’s IT environment secure, reliable and easy to use. The initial focus of this role will be on strengthening and maturing our Microsoft 365 environment, including governance, security, compliance, identity, endpoint management and collaboration services. The role will also contribute directly to our DORA and ISO 27001 readiness by improving controls, documentation, evidence, processes and operational follow-up. Over time, the role will continue to support continuous improvement across all our Technology and AI.

The IT Engineer will report to the IT Infrastructure & Operations Lead, also based in the Netherlands.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on IT professional who combines strong technical knowledge with ownership, sound judgement and a clear focus on reliability, security and user experience.
Relevant certifications are beneficial, but proven hands‑on experience and the ability to apply knowledge in practice are valued more.
