Job summary

Waterland in Bussum is seeking an IT Engineer to own and mature our Microsoft 365 environment and broader IT stack across the Netherlands and Europe. You will strengthen governance, security, compliance and end-user experience while supporting our hybrid IT landscape.

The role emphasizes hands-on administration of Azure, Intune/Autopilot, VPN and network security, plus backup and disaster recovery with Rubrik. You will collaborate with vendors and IT teams to drive secure, reliable IT operations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on IT professional with ownership and reliability focus.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 E5, Entra ID, Intune, Autopilot.

Responsibilities

• Own and mature Microsoft 365 E5 governance, security and adoption.
• Manage Azure resources, VMs, networking, identity, monitoring and cost optimization.
• Maintain network and firewall infrastructure across locations.
• Oversee backup, recovery and DR readiness with Rubrik.
• Lead IT projects and coordinate vendors and stakeholders.
• Provide hands-on end-user support and improve productivity.
