Job summary

NH Utrecht, run by NH Hotels, is offering a Maintenance Internship. You will join our maintenance team to gain hands-on experience across technical disciplines while ensuring safe, comfortable experiences for guests.

The internship runs while you remain enrolled in school and supports your professional growth. During the internship, you will troubleshoot, maintain equipment, assist with inspections, learn basic electrical tasks, and collaborate with colleagues to uphold high standards of service

Qualifications

• You must be actively enrolled in an educational institution for the duration of the internship.
• You show strong interest in technical maintenance, engineering, or facility operations.
• You take pride in delivering quality work with a keen eye for detail.
• You enjoy solving technical challenges and practical problems.
• You work well independently and also collaborate with a team.
• You are guest-oriented, supportive, and stay calm under pressure.
• You are flexible and comfortable in a dynamic environment with varying tasks.
• You have a good command of English; Dutch or other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting technical issues and support repairs across the hotel.
• Help maintain equipment, installations, lighting systems, and sanitary facilities.
• Support preventive maintenance activities and regular inspections.
• Assist with maintaining kitchen equipment and technical installations.
• Gain experience with basic electrical tasks, including wiring and cabling.
• Contribute to a variety of technical assignments in an international hotel environment.
• Help monitor materials and maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Work closely with colleagues across departments to support operational excellence.

Your Role at a Glance

As a Maintenance Intern, you will play an essential role in ensuring our hotel continues to operate smoothly behind the scenes. Working alongside our maintenance team, you will gain hands‑on experience across a variety of technical disciplines while contributing to a safe, comfortable, and seamless experience for our guests. During your internship, you will:

• Assist with troubleshooting technical issues and supporting repairs across the hotel.
