Job summary

NH Hotels Europe & Americas – Utrecht centre is seeking an in-house Maintenance Employee (f/m/d) for the NH Centre Utrecht. You will monitor all building technical systems, perform repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure safe, reliable guest experiences.

Qualifications

• You are a hands-on problem solver with broad technical know-how.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and repairs is preferred.
• Able to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable coordinating with vendors and other hotel departments.
• Fluent or proficient in Dutch and/or English.

Responsibilities

• Assist the maintenance manager in day-to-day work and oversee preventive maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Carry out all corrective maintenance activities in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist in implementing security measures and ensure necessary permits are available.
• Collaborate with the manager on proposals for investment, replacements, and vendor contracts.
• Help organize external vendors' maintenance activities and coordinate with hotel departments.
• Monitor energy consumption and maintenance costs (water, electricity).
• Assist in setting up meeting rooms (audiovisuals, lighting, etc.).
• Resolve guest incidents and issues promptly and appropriately.

As an in-house technician (f/m/d), you will be responsible for monitoring all maintenance services for the building's technical systems and carrying out repair and maintenance work.

Your Role at a Glance

• Assist the maintenance manager in the day to day work and oversee the preventive maintenance of all equipment and facilities.
• Carry out all corrective maintenance activities in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist in the implementation of security measures and supervise availability of necessary permits.
• Organize with the manager the proposals for investment, replacement, adjustment of contracts with vendors.
• Support the maintenance manager in the organization of the duties and maintenance activities of external vendors into the hotel, and coordinate these activities with all the departments involved.
• Collaborate in the control and follow up of energy consumptions and maintenance costs e.g. water and electricity.
• Assist in the setup of meeting rooms (audiovisuals, lighting, etc).
• Solve guest incidents and issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
