Job summary

NH Hotels & Resorts in Amsterdam is offering a Maintenance Intern internship. You will work with our maintenance team to support repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment care across a busy hotel environment.

This hands-on role builds practical skills in electrical tasks, facilities operations, and guest-focused service. Active enrollment in an educational institution is required; English proficiency is essential and Dutch language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Applicant must be actively enrolled in an educational institution.
• Interest in technical maintenance, engineering, or facility operations.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Enjoy solving technical challenges and practical solutions.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Guest-oriented and able to stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting technical issues and supporting repairs across the hotel.
• Help maintain equipment, installations, lighting systems, and sanitary facilities to ensure optimal performance.
• Support preventive maintenance activities and regular inspections throughout the property.
• Assist with maintaining kitchen equipment and technical installations.
• Gain experience with basic electrical tasks, including wiring and cabling projects.
• Contribute to a variety of technical assignments within an international hotel environment.
• Help monitor materials and maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace.
• Work closely with colleagues across departments to support the operational excellence of the hotel.

Your Role at a Glance

As a Maintenance Intern, you will play an essential role in ensuring our hotel continues to operate smoothly behind the scenes. Working alongside our maintenance team, you will gain hands-on experience across a variety of technical disciplines while contributing to a safe, comfortable, and seamless experience for our guests. During your internship, you will:
