D/DOCK is seeking a hands-on events intern for a 6-month, full-time role starting in September at their Amsterdam venue. You will assist with planning, coordinating, and executing diverse events, while supporting bar shifts, hospitality duties, and post‑event follow‑up.
Fluency in English is essential; Dutch is a bonus. You will gain practical experience across event logistics, social media content creation, and guest experience in a lively, international setting with daily lunches and commuting
By day, DB55 is a buzzing co-working space for approximately 80 people across seven companies – architects, designers, sustainability pioneers, food innovators, and more. By night (and weekends), the space transforms: pop-up restaurants, product launches, workshops, exhibitions. You name it, we make it happen. And we need someone to help us do exactly that. Full time, for a period of 6 months, starting as of September.
This internship is primarily intended as a learning experience and would be for 40 hours/week. But your schedule will shift week to week – flexibility is key.
We’re open to applicants from all backgrounds, but please note that we do not arrange visas or residence permits, so non‑EU applicants should check Dutch work requirements before applying. Make sure you hold a valid work visa for living in the Netherlands or would be able to obtain one independently before applying.
In exceptional cases, outstanding performance can lead to a full‑time role.
You will first receive an automated confirmation mail. We'll review all applications between June 8 and Jun 19, and you can expect to hear from us after June 22.
Send your CV and a short cover letter via the website form: tell us why you love events, something you organised that you’re proud of and what you'd bring to DB55. We'll review applications and invite the best fits for a chat.
D/DOCK is a spatial and conceptual design community that aims to develop honest and effective spaces for humans, nature and society.
We believe we can – and must – make a positive impact on our environment by means of our creative integrity.
We are a group of 40+ architects, engineers, designers, psychologists, project managers and developers who design for the human scale, from the inside out. In this rapidly changing world we’ve said farewell to the traditional boundaries of scale, function, process and physical environment.
Our portfolio therefore ranges in scale from chair to city, from concept to activation, from local to international and from art to apps. We have found our new home in the upcoming area Amsterdam Houthavens where we have transformed an old sawmill into a conscious business community – DB55.
