Job summary

A Taste of Legacy- At Tandoori Aan Zee, onderdeel van R&A Restaurants, zoekt een Independent working Chef-I aan de Zeeuwse kust. Je bereidt lunch- en dinergerechten uit de Indiase keuken en werkt zelfstandig.

Je voert mise en place uit, bewaakt HACCP en de veiligheid, beheert voorraad en werkt samen met een vriendelijk team. Salaris volgens CAO Horeca: €2.700–€3.200 bruto per maand, afhankelijk van ervaring.

Qualifications

• Kennis van basis kooktechnieken.
• MBO-3 diploma vereist.
• In staat zelfstandig te werken en stress te hanteren.
• Goede communicatie in Nederlands of Engels.

Responsibilities

• Indiase lunch- en dinergerechten zelfstandig bereiden.
• Mise en place en andere voorbereidingswerkzaamheden uitvoeren (snijden, mixen, porties afwegen).
• Kwaliteit, smaak en presentatie van alle gerechten waarborgen.
• HACCP en veiligheidsvoorschriften toepassen en naleven.
• Voorraadbeheer: bestellen, ontvangen en controleren van producten.
• Kookapparatuur en werkruimtes schoonhouden en onderhouden.
• Ideeën voor recepten en menukaarten aandragen en processen verbeteren.
• Ondersteunen en aansturen van keukenhulpen.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Independently prepare lunch and dinner dishes from the Indian cuisine
• Carry out mise en place and other preparatory tasks (cutting, mixing, portioning)
• Ensure the quality, taste, and presentation of all dishes
• Apply and comply with HACCP and safety regulations
• Manage inventory: ordering, receiving, and checking products
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and workspaces
• Contribute ideas for recipes, menu updates, and more efficient processes
• Supporting and managing the kitchen assistants.

We Are Looking for Someone Who:

• Holds an MBO level 3 diploma work and thinking level.
• Someone who has demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques
• Shows initiative and can work independently
• Can handle stress and peak busy periods effectively
• Functions well within the dynamics of a restaurant team
• Speaks Dutch or English
• Is enthusiastic, dedicated, and eager to learn
