Job summary

Leonardo Hotels Benelux is seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to support financial reporting, analysis, and compliance across multiple hotels. You will prepare monthly reports, assist with period-end closings, and analyze data to drive performance, working closely with hotel teams and external accountants.

The role is based at our Shared Service Office in Amsterdam Rembrandtpark with regular visits to other hotel locations.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in financial, accounting, or controlling role.
• Experience within hotel or hospitality industry is a strong plus.
• Experience supporting month-end and year-end closings.
• Comfortable preparing and analysing financial reports and reconciliations.
• Accurate, proactive with a strong eye for detail.
• Strong analytical skills and an affinity for numbers with a hospitality mindset.
• Familiar with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel; experience with hotel systems is an advantage.
• Fluent Dutch and English.
• Available full-time; a 4-day workweek is negotiable.
• EU citizen or hold a valid work permit for the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Financial Controller and Financial Director with financial reporting, analysis, and compliance.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and support period-end closings.
• Analyse financial data to improve business performance.
• Liaise with hotel teams and external accountants during audits.
• Contribute to financial projects and process improvements.
