Leonardo Hotels Benelux is seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to support financial reporting, analysis, and compliance across multiple hotels. You will prepare monthly reports, assist with period-end closings, and analyze data to drive performance, working closely with hotel teams and external accountants.

The role is based at our Shared Service Office in Amsterdam Rembrandtpark with regular visits to other hotel locations.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in financial, accounting, or controlling role.
• Experience within hotel or hospitality industry is a strong plus.
• Experience supporting month-end and year-end closings.
• Comfortable preparing and analysing financial reports and reconciliations.
• Accurate, proactive with a strong eye for detail.
• Strong analytical skills and an affinity for numbers with a hospitality mindset.
• Familiar with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel; experience with hotel systems is an advantage.
• Fluent Dutch and English.
• Available full-time; a 4-day workweek is negotiable.
• EU citizen or hold a valid work permit for the Netherlands.

About The Job

As Assistant Financial Controller, you will play a key role in the financial administration of several hotels within our group. You support the Financial Controller and Financial Director in ensuring accurate financial reporting, analysis, and compliance across the business. You are involved in preparing monthly financial reports, supporting period-end closings, and analysing financial data to help improve our business performance. You maintain close contact with hotel teams and external accountants during audits and contribute to various financial projects and process improvements. Your main workplace will be our Shared Service Office at Leonardo Hotel Amsterdam Rembrandtpark, but you will also regularly visit colleagues at our other hotel locations. Working closely with the Financial Controller, Assistant Financial Controllers, Hotel Managers, and other departments within the Shared Service Office, you help ensure that all financial processes run smoothly and accurately.
