Job summary

Evotym is seeking a Chief Business Development Officer to turn new market opportunities into profitable business lines. You will test ideas, win initial customers and partners, and take successful initiatives from launch to scale in a hands-on, remote-capable role.

You will identify new markets for card-based payment solutions, validate hypotheses, and develop commercial strategies while building dedicated teams as directions scale across Europe and beyond.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven business development experience.
• Experience in fintech, card issuing, card processing or related card-based solutions.
• Experience developing new markets, building strategic partnerships or launching new products and business lines.
• Strong commercial acumen, including revenue models, profitability and unit economics.
• International business experience, ideally across Europe and the UK; remote collaboration ok.
• Languages: English, Russian.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess new markets, industries and customer segments for card-based payment solutions.
• Develop and validate business hypotheses against market potential, customer needs and profitability.
• Create tailored value propositions and commercial strategies for new verticals.
• Explore ways to embed card issuing and payment infrastructure into third-party products through APIs and other integrations.
• Acquire initial customers and partners, negotiate commercial terms and drive opportunities through to production launch.
• Develop new business models and revenue streams, owning their commercial performance.
• Work with the CEO and internal teams to prioritise opportunities and allocate resources.
• Track revenue, profitability and ROI, and build dedicated teams to scale successful initiatives.
