Job summary

Nefab Packaging Netherlands is seeking a Quality Engineer to be the first point of contact for quality topics across the packaging supply chain. You will be on-site on the shop floor and in the warehouse, solving quality issues and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires 1–3 years in a manufacturing or related environment, a technical degree, and fluency in Dutch and English. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet specifications and participate

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Mechanical/Industrial/Engineering).
1–3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, production, logistics or similar environment.
Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
Solid MS Office skills; ERP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Be on-site on the shop floor and in the warehouse to solve quality issues (hands-on).
Support customers and internal stakeholders with non-conformities, claims and CAPA/8D actions.
Coordinate with Quality Inspection to verify products against specs and guide priorities.
Run quality analyses and product evaluations; identify trends and risk (Pareto, FMEA).
Lead root-cause investigations (5 Whys, Ishikawa) and translate findings into actions with suppliers and teams.
Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce defects, waste and rework (Lean/5S).
Maintain compliant documentation and assist audits and procedures.
Support ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 programs and related H&S practices with QHSE.
