Job summary

Vanderlande in Veghel, Netherlands, seeks a Quality Assurance Engineer in Manufacturing to drive proactive QA in the factory, support new product introduction (NPI), and implement robust processes. You will identify risks early, translate learnings into improvements, and build quality into ongoing innovation.

You will partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Operations to ensure quality is embedded at every stage of production, from prototype to mass production.

Qualifications

• HB0/HBO-level degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Experience with FMEA facilitation and risk management methodologies.
• Experience in Root Cause Analysis and structured problem-solving methods (8D, PDCA, A3, Lean Six Sigma, etc.).
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends and translate findings into improvements.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across functions and levels.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrialization, or engineering environment and willingness to work on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Lead FMEA to proactively identify and mitigate risks in production.
• Conduct RCA investigations and apply structured problem-solving methods (8D, PDCA, A3).
• Coach cross-functional teams in solving problems and sustaining improvements.
• Support prototype builds, pilot runs, and industrialization projects for new products.
• Translate design requirements into robust manufacturing processes.
• Embed quality requirements throughout process development and NPI phases.
• Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Drive standardization and operational excellence across manufacturing operations.
