Job summary

PhotonFirst International in Alkmaar, Netherlands, is seeking a Quality Engineer to safeguard product and process quality from development through industrialization to small-series production.

You will own the NCR process, drive root-cause analysis, CAPA implementation, prepare audits, and maintain release criteria and batch records, collaborating with Production, Engineering and Operations to reduce quality issues and strengthen the QMS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 5–10 years of experience in quality roles in high-tech manufacturing.
• Proven track record with ISO 9001, NCR ownership and CAPA.
• Audit preparation and compliance processes.
• Production documentation, traceability, and batch records.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the NCR process, root cause analysis, and CAPA implementation.
• Prepare and guide internal and external audits (ISO 9001 and customer audits).
• Define and maintain acceptance criteria, release procedures, and batch records.
• Participate in development projects to review manufacturability, compliance risks, and production readiness.
• Strengthen and professionalize our QMS, documentation control, and engineering practices.
• Drive structural process improvements and reduce recurring quality issues.
