Job summary

Smart Freight Centre (SFC) is seeking an organised HR Manager for a 9-month maternity cover in Amsterdam. The role is 24-32 hours/week in a hybrid setup with regular in-office presence, starting December 1, 2026.

You will handle HR operations, contracts, payroll coordination, and HR systems like Personio for an international team. This hands-on role collaborates with the Director of People & Culture and aims to ensure compliant, efficient HR processes across the organization while supporting

Responsibilities

• HR Administration & Employee Records: maintain accurate employee records, contracts, addenda, and personnel documentation in Personio and SharePoint; prepare employment contracts, extensions, salary amendments, and other HR documentation.
• HR Systems - Personio: manage day-to-day administration, generate HR reports and support improvements to system functionality.
• Leave, Absence & Employment Compliance: administer holiday, maternity, parental, and sickness absence records; coordinate visa and residence permit applications for international employees.
• Recruitment, Onboarding & Offboarding: coordinate vacancy postings, applications, interview scheduling, onboarding and offboarding checklists.
• Payroll, Benefits & Office Support: prepare monthly payroll changes and coordinate routine benefits; support Amsterdam office administration.
