Job summary

De Pijp Boutique Hotel in Amsterdam is seeking an inspiring, hands-on Front Office Manager to lead guest experience, manage daily reception operations, and be a pillar of our small management team.

You will split time between running flawless shifts at the desk and handling administrative, reservations, and leadership duties behind the scenes, while actively working shifts on the front desk with your team.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of hospitality experience in a Front Office leadership role or senior reception role.
• Hands-on mindset with enjoy working on the floor and in a small team.
• Strong proficiency with modern hotel PMS, channel managers, and basic Extranets.
• Must hold valid EU passport or valid Dutch work permit (BSN required). No visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Actively work standard front desk shifts, welcoming guests and handling check-ins/outs.
• Recruit, train, and lead the reception team to deliver personalized service.
• Oversee room allocations, group blocks, and rate configurations to maximize occupancy and revenue.
• Handle guest feedback with empathy and quick problem-solving.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping and Maintenance for seamless room turnarounds.
