Job summary

VDV Search has partnered with a global technology and brand experience company to recruit a Growth & New Business Director for Amsterdam. You’ll lead a Growth Pod—yourself, a strategic consultant and a solution builder—to turn credibility into new business with senior decision-makers, framing problems in their numbers and moving from concept to funded opportunities.

Based in or near Amsterdam with regular travel, you will own the pipeline, pursue new logos, expand into a second European market,

Qualifications

• 10+ years in strategy, consultancy or a digital agency with real commercial ownership.
• Track record of personally originating and closing new business through credibility and network.
• Strategic craft: built strategies and propositions, not just sold work.
• Senior presence: comfortable with C-level stakeholders and difficult conversations.
• Tech fluency: credible on AI and digital products with clients and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own a commercial target and defendable pipeline.
• Win new logos and create new workstreams inside existing clients.
• Shape 2–3 market propositions with capability leads.
• Shift deals from time-and-materials to value-based and subscription models.
• Represent the business at events, publications and industry circles.
• Lead a Growth Pod and coordinate with a strategic consultant and a solution builder.
