Job summary

Salt is seeking a People Operations Manager in Amsterdam to lead the global HR Operations function and drive operational excellence. The role partners with HR leadership to deliver compliant, consistent service, and an excellent employee experience.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in HR, strong leadership, and fluency in English, with experience in global HR operations and change programmes. Dutch work authorization and on-site work in Amsterdam are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 8+ years of HR experience in a dynamic, complex organisation.
• Strong experience in HR Operations and people leadership, ideally globally.
• Knowledge of HR systems, Payroll, and service delivery models.
• Proven experience leading large-scale change or transformation programmes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead a global team of HR Operations Team Leads and indirectly a large international team.
• Ensure effective, compliant, and consistent delivery of HR Operations services, SLAs, and KPIs.
• Coach and develop leaders and teams, building a high-performing, service-focused culture.
• Act as a strategic partner to HR leadership and key business stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement across HR processes, systems, tools, and ways of working.
• Lead and contribute to global HR transformation, change, and improvement initiatives.
• Partner with Payroll, HR Technology, HR Advisory, Compensation & Benefits, and other HR teams to ensure integrated service delivery.
• Use data and analytics to monitor performance, identify opportunities, and support decision-making.
• Act as an ambassador for HR Operations and ensure effective stakeholder communication.
