Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking a Customs Broker to serve as the first contact for colleagues and authorities regarding customs queries. The role ensures smooth, timely clearance processes and involves data checks, declaration of imports/exports, and coordination with customs.

The candidate should have 3+ years in customs brokerage, strong knowledge of clearance, fluent English and Dutch, and be able to work both in teams and independently.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience as a customs agent/broker.
• Good knowledge in customs clearance.
• Fluent English and Dutch, both written and spoken.
• Able to work in a team and independently.
• Pro-active, target driven with attention to details.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• VGB security clearance or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Plausibility check of customs-relevant data and commissioning.
• Declare imports/exports and communicate with authorities.
• Prepare transit documents and monitor closure.
• Calculate duties and support customers.
• Prepare key figures and statistics, retain documents.
• Meet deadlines for completion and submission.
• Handle NCRs, complaints, claims, and continuous improvement.
• Execute all Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with laws.
