AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking a Customs Broker to join our global network in Rozenburg, Netherlands. You will act as the first contact for colleagues and customs authorities to ensure smooth and timely customs clearance.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of experience, strong knowledge of customs processes, fluency in English and Dutch, and a proactive, detail‑oriented approach. We offer competitive pay, pension, training, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience as a customs agent/broker.
• Good knowledge of customs clearance processes.
• Fluent oral and written English and Dutch.
• Strong team player with ability to work independently.
• Pro-active, target driven with good attention to detail.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• VGB security clearance or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Plausibility check of customs-relevant customer data and commissioning.
• Declare import and export customs clearances.
• Communicate with customs authorities.
• Prepare transit documents and monitor their closure.
• Calculate duties.
• Support and consult customers.
• Prepare key figures and statistics.
• Retain customs documents and ensure deadlines.
• Handle additional tasks per customer SOPs.
• Assist resolution of NCRs, complaints, and claims.
• Support implementation and continuous improvement for customers.
• Execute all Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with laws and regulations.

Overview

The Customs Broker will serve as the first contact for AIT colleagues and customs authorities with regards to customs related queries. This role will ensure optimal, smooth, and timely customs clearance processes.

Responsibilities

• Plausibility check of customs-relevant customer data and commissioning
• Declaration of import customs clearances and export clearances
• Ensuring communication with customs authorities
• Preparation of transit documents and monitoring of their closure
• Calculation of duties
• Support and consulting of customers
• Preparation of key figures and statistics
• Compliance with the obligation to retain customs documents
• Deadline control and compliance with completion and submission deadlines
• Handle additional tasks according to specific customer SOP requirements
• Support resolution of local NCR’s, complaints, claims
• Support Implementation & continuous improvement for customers
• Execute all Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (as applicable)
