Job summary

Amazon is building a dedicated Customs Brokerage function in Amsterdam. The Manager, Customs Brokerage will own risk management and compliance across NL operations, covering ocean, air, rail and road shipments for both third-party and first-party entry filing.

You will manage frontline clearance and lead strategic initiatives to improve regulatory posture. You will partner with Dutch authorities, drive automation, onboard new business lines, and mentor operators across locations, providing

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Experience engaging with regulatory agencies in permit applications or equivalent.
Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization to act without having a direct reporting relationship.
Speak, write, and read fluently in Dutch.
Proven progressive experience in NL customs brokerage, compliance, audit, or risk management, with at least experience in a leadership or strategic role.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement risk management frameworks for NL customs brokerage activities.
Serve as the licensed point of contact with Dutch customs authorities and manage regulatory queries.
Monitor regulatory developments and translate changes into procedures.
Lead operational excellence programmes linking policies, controls, monitoring, and reporting.
Own the strategic NL roadmap and drive automation of processes.
