Job summary

Koninklijke Vopak N.V. is seeking a Business Development Manager for Battery Energy Storage to drive global expansion. Based at our BESS HQ in Breda, you will originate new projects and lead complex deal processes from first contact to signed contracts.

You will build strong partnerships with utilities, developers, and industrial clients, while navigating diverse regulatory environments and cultures. Regular international travel is required for positioning and growth across geographies.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a similarly relevant field.
Fluency in English and Dutch; strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
10+ years of business development or commercial experience in international sustainable energy projects.

Responsibilities

Drive development and investment in large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems in new geographies through partnerships, M&A, greenfield and brownfield developments at existing Vopak terminals.
Originate new business in the energy storage space across target regions and lead complex deal processes from first contact to signed deal.
Build and grow partnerships with utilities, developers, and industrial clients to enter new markets with the right proposition.
Navigate international markets and regulatory backgrounds, adapting to diverse cultural contexts to secure sustainable energy projects globally.
