Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking an Operations Agent Airfreight in Rotterdam to coordinate import/export shipments by air, ensuring accuracy of quotations and schedules. You will work with customers, carriers and ports to meet delivery timelines and regulatory requirements.

The role requires 2+ years in air freight forwarding, fluency in English and Dutch, strong PC skills, and familiarity with CargoWise.

Qualifications

min. 2 years of experience as an Air Freight Forwarder.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Fluent English and Dutch (oral & written).
Strong PC skills (Windows, MS Office).
CargoWise experience preferred.
Familiarity with ITAR, Dangerous Goods or TSA regulations.
VGB security clearance required or eligible.

Responsibilities

Coordinate day-to-day import/export shipments via airfreight per customer requests.
Qualify shipping requirements and gather documents for quotational accuracy.
Set shipping schedules and communicate with customers, carriers and ports.
Track shipments, resolve delays and communicate issues to customers.
Ensure shipments are billed per company guidelines and timelines.
Process regulatory requirements and data entry of shipments.
Coordinate with sales, partners and other stations as needed.
Execute Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with laws and regs.
