Job summary

Van Oord in Rotterdam is seeking a Functional Application Specialist for Workforce & Resource Management. You bridge business and IT, ensuring applications support planners and end users worldwide.

You collaborate with functional admins and vendors to keep the system stable and future-proof. The role offers a hybrid set-up (3 days at the office, 2 days from home) and a comprehensive package including travel and home office allowances, ample leave, a pension, and ongoing development

Qualifications

• Completed HBO-level education or equivalent working and thinking level.
• Several years of experience in a similar role within a larger organisation.
• Demonstrable experience in functional application management and end-user support.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between users and IT to align applications with business processes.
• Provide functional support for requests from planners and users.
• Identify bottlenecks with key users and address functional questions.
• Support testing of new functionalities and maintain documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Communicate_changes_and_incidents to stakeholders.
