Job summary

Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport is seeking a Front Office Team Leader to guide the Front Office on shift, coach Hosts and ensure smooth daily operations while delivering memorable guest experiences. You will lead from the floor, manage scheduling, and uphold Hyatt brand standards while driving guest satisfaction.

The role includes onboarding new team members, performing performance reviews, and actively improving service levels.

Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport is looking for a Team leader Front Office! As a Front Office Team Leader (Duty Manager), you are part of a dynamic Front Office team in our 330 room hotel. You lead from the floor, support and coach Front Office Hosts, and ensure smooth daily operations while creating great guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the shift and will support the team in solving any problems they may encounter during their shift.
• Handling all financial transactions, ensuring proper processing, and monitoring cashier accuracy. You will be responsible for verifying that cashiers' transactions are correct and compliant with company procedures, and ensuring payments are collected properly and in a timely manner.
• Approving team upsells
• Responding to and managing Hysat reviews
• Overseeing and managing stock levels to ensure availability and proper inventory control.
• Monitoring team interactions with guests, providing regular feedback to improve service quality.
• Ensuring the team follows Hyatt’s brand standards and adheres to Hyatt policies and procedures.
• Managing scheduling and coverage when team members call in sick, ensuring smooth operations at all times.
• Carrying out onboarding for new team members, ensuring they are properly introduced to the role and company culture.
• Conducting probation, mid-year, and end-of-year performance reviews to assess individual and team development, providing constructive feedback and guidance for growth.
• You lead by example by creating connections with guests and leading the team’s success by increasing guest satisfaction scores.
• You will coach the team by giving constructive feedback and personalized-on-the-job trainings.
• You ensure the team achieves their goals.
• You drive the team in taking ownership in complaint handling and assist where necessary.
• You inspire your team to create memorable experiences for our guests.
• As Teamleader you are responsible for internal communication such as briefings and ensuring all team members are up to date regarding any changes, promotions etc.

The corresponding gross monthly salary scale ranges from €2.505,04–€3.032,79, based on full time employment. The starting level within the scale depends on experience.
• We offer 25 vacation days (full-time), 8% holiday allowance, travel allowance, daily meal, and 5 extra paid paternity leave days after 1 year

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-oriented job;
• Eligible to work in the Netherlands;
• Fluent in English;
• Flexible in working different shifts and weekends;
• Open minded, responsible and positive attitude;
• Strong communication skills.

• Familiar with OPERA and Micros
