Job summary

Minor Hotels Europe & Americas seeks a friendly Front Office Receptionist to join our team in The Netherlands. You will be the first point of contact for international guests, welcoming them and handling check‑in/check‑out with a smile.

The role requires strong Dutch and English language skills, accuracy with hotel systems, and a customer‑first mindset. You’ll work in a busy reception and collaborate across departments, with training and growth opportunities offered.

Your Role at a Glance

06:45You arrive, in uniform, with a cup of coffee or tea in the back office. Your colleague from the night shift takes care of the handover.
07:00You start your checklist, and, in the meantime, you keep an eye on your colleagues at the desk and support where necessary.
08:00You have checked today's arrivals and communicated the details to the other departments.
10:00In the absence of your manager, you attend the morning meeting. After the meeting you go back to the front office and in between the phone calls, you also process the incoming emails and work your way through the 'morning rush'.
12:00Enjoy your lunch with colleagues from other departments.
13:00You check whether there are still guests pending to check out and continue with your checklist until all is done.
14:00You make sure the handover is updated for the evening shift.
14:45The evening shift has arrived, and you make sure they know everything they need to know to begin their shift.
15:00Time to go home!

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Helping guests puts a big smile on your face. The 'always a pleasure' mentality is second nature for you, and you are happy go the extra mile for our guests;
• You are a 'Natural Host' and have some years' experience as a receptionist. Experience as a Desk Manager/Shift Leader/Supervisor is an advantage;
• You are good at setting priorities, you have a good command of the Dutch and English language, you are accurate, and knowledge of computer systems is a plus;
• You enjoy variety in your work and working hours and working in a team gives you energy.
