Job summary

Conscious Hotels Vondelpark in Amsterdam is seeking a Front Office Host for a part-time, zero-hours position. You will greet guests, assist with check-in and the self-service kiosk, and share the best local tips while delivering warm, sustainable hospitality.

A dual role as front desk host and barista, you’ll also craft coffee, handle guest inquiries, and contribute to a friendly atmosphere. Fluency in English is required, Dutch is a plus, and you live in Amsterdam.

Qualifications

• Front office experience or willingness to multitask in a hotel setting.
• Experience as a barista or coffee service is a plus.
• Hospitality mindset and guest-focused approach are essential.
• Experience in (international) hotels or hospitality industry preferred.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Fluent English; Dutch language skills are a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Check in guests and assist with self check-in systems.
• Suggest Amsterdam tips and local attractions to guests.
• Upsell bike rentals and sustainable products where appropriate.
• Froth milk and prepare coffee as part of front desk duties.
• Work independently while collaborating with the team to ensure guest satisfaction.

Vondelpark is looking for a Front Office Host (part-time job on a zero-hours contract).

During your shift, you are the shining face of the hotel. You take care of everything: checking in guests, helping with the self check-in system, giving the best Amsterdam tips, and effortlessly selling a bike rental or sustainable goodies. You love chatting with guests, making a perfect coffee (or tea), and making sure everyone leaves with a smile. Here, the front desk isn’t the only place you shine – you also froth milk like a pro.

Job requirements and personal qualities:

• You are looking for a fun part-time job on an on-call basis (zero-hours contract);

• Front office host and barista in one – now that’s multitasking with a smile;

• Hospitality is in your DNA – you can sense exactly what a guest needs;

• Ideally, you have experience in (international) hotels or the hospitality industry – to provide the best service for our guests;

• Flexible availability – Including weekends and holidays;

• You speak fluent English. If you also speak Dutch, that’s a nice bonus;

• You live in Amsterdam;

• You are a team player but also work well independently;

• Experience with complaint handling and knowledge of HACCP is a plus.
