Job summary

ING Mortgages is seeking an experienced Product Manager to improve mortgage products and customer journeys in the Dutch market. You will translate regulatory changes into actionable solutions and coordinate product and system changes across the mortgage chain.

You will lead projects from concept through implementation, collaborating with risk teams, advisors, and external partners to drive impactful improvements. This is a freelance position based in Amsterdam.

Qualifications

• Dutch housing & mortgage market knowledge.
• Knowledge of mortgage legislation, regulations, acceptance policies, and product types.
• Insight into customer and advisor needs and challenges.
• Experience implementing innovations in mortgage policies and propositions.
• Commercial mindset with impact-driven drive.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven approach.
• Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills across stakeholders.
• Strong Business-to-IT affinity and translating ideas into impact.
• Excellent written and spoken Dutch and English.
• Entrepreneurial approach: challenge status quo and independent decisions.

Responsibilities

• Initiate product improvements and translate propositions into solutions for target groups.
• Optimize and implement product and process changes from legislation and regulations.
• Translate mortgage knowledge into practical changes across the mortgage chain.
• Manage projects from concept through implementation.
• Collaborate with risk teams, advisors, and external partners (NHG, BKR, HDN, advisory software providers).
