Job summary

Maersk in Rotterdam seeks a FCL MOF/LCL Operations Associate to manage end-to-end shipment processes for the Benelux region. You will monitor ocean orders, answer customer queries via email, phone or chat, and serve as the face of Maersk to customers, delivering proactive service and strong relationship management.

The role requires experience in shipping/logistics, openness to change, and a drive to improve customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping and logistics (Ocean) is required.
• Strong customer service orientation and relationship building.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
• Fluency in Dutch and English for daily interactions with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end shipment processing for Benelux, both import and export.
• Monitor all ocean transport orders and respond to customer inquiries via email, phone, or chat.
• Be the primary face/voice of Maersk to customers.
• Proactively seek solutions to improve customer supply chains.
• Prepare transport and customs documents.
• Handle financial aspects of shipments.

Key responsibilities

Within shipping and logistics pro-active communication and information flow towards our customers is the key in ensuring transparency end-to-end.

• As our FCL and LCL Operations Associate - Benelux, you will be responsible for a smooth end to end shipment process, both import and export.
• You will monitor all outgoing and incoming Ocean transport orders for your assigned customers, answering customer requests via email, by phone or chat.
• Be the first point of contact for our customers which makes you the face (or voice) of the company.
• You like to go the extra mile to make our customers happy and build strong relationship with them.
• Preparation of transport and customs documents.
• Finding out-of-the box solutions that improve the supply chain of your customers.
• Financial handling of shipments.
