Job summary

The Social Hub in Rotterdam is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to lead the front-of-house team across shifts, maintaining high energy and smooth service. You will guide staff, support onboarding, and ensure daily operations run efficiently while staying guest-focused.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years in senior waiter/barista/bartender roles, strong leadership, clear communication, and a passion for hospitality. English and Dutch fluency is required, with additional languages a bonus.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a senior waiter, barista or bartender role
• Confidence leading a team during service
• Clear communication and calmness under pressure
• Attention to detail and consistency in service
• Genuine hospitality energy and guest-facing approach
• Ability to work well with different teams and lead by example
• Fluency in English and Dutch; additional languages are a bonus

Responsibilities

• Lead the front-of-house team during service and set a positive, upbeat tone
• Guide your crew on the floor, helping them solve small issues in the moment
• Support training and onboarding for new team members
• Keep daily operations smooth by checking setups, stock, cleanliness and safety
• Stay present on the floor, chat with guests and jump in where needed
• Handle transactions accurately and pass on any irregularities
• Share targets for the shift and motivate the team to reach them
• Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to keep service flowing
