Job summary

Leonardo Royal Hotel Amsterdam is seeking a Shift Leader to model excellence in guest service and lead a busy hospitality team on site in Amsterdam. You will supervise daily operations, ensure high cleanliness and food safety standards, and coach staff to deliver an outstanding guest experience across F&B outlets.

You will manage cash handling with Micros, use Formitable for reservations, and run effective shift handovers.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in hospitality, hotel operations, or F&B.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with guests and staff.
• Hands-on leader who can motivate teams and maintain standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily service operations, including events, reservations, and business levels.
• Monitor sick leave procedures to ensure staffing and continuity.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety per HACCP regulations.
• Supervise and motivate the team; complete daily checklists and tasks.
• Manage cash handling and end-of-day financial processes using Micros.
• Oversee Formitable reservation system for guest management.
• Conduct daily team briefings and share important updates and priorities.
• Ensure seamless handovers with Shift Leaders, Supervisors, and Managers.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvements and share best practices.
• Coach and develop team members and support their growth.
• Collaborate with F&B outlets to deliver consistent guest experiences.
