Job summary

Leonardo Royal Hotel Amsterdam is seeking a Shift Leader to act as a role model for the team, delivering exceptional guest experiences while upholding grooming standards, policy compliance, and smooth daily operations.

You will plan daily service, supervise the team, manage reservations with Formitable and cash handling with Micros, and coach colleagues to elevate service quality across F&B outlets. The role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory or leadership role within hospitality.
• Passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences and leading teams.
• Strong communication, organization, and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate the daily service operation, including events, inspections, reservations, and business levels.
• Monitor sick leave procedures to ensure staffing and continuity.
• Maintain the highest cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards (HACCP).
• Supervise, support, and motivate the team; ensure daily checklists and tasks are completed.
• Manage cash handling and end-of-day processes using Micros.
• Oversee reservations with Formitable for accurate guest management.
• Conduct daily team briefings and effective shift handovers.
• Identify opportunities for improvements and share best practices.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members for growth.
• Collaborate with F&B outlets to deliver a consistent guest experience.
