Job summary

Finatal, a global leader in professional information and software solutions, seeks a Director of Strategy & Business Development for Europe to shape growth across the region. You will work with regional leaders and the Global Head of Strategy to drive long-term value creation through both organic and inorganic initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8-12+ years' experience in top-tier Strategy Consulting, Corporate Strategy, Business Development, Corporate Development or related strategic leadership environment
• Proven experience supporting growth strategy, market assessment, commercial strategy or strategic planning initiatives
• Strong analytical and commercial capabilities, with the ability to evaluate markets, competitive dynamics, customer trends and growth opportunities
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage credibly with senior executives and business leaders
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across complex, matrixed organisations
• Experience preparing executive-level recommendations, board materials and strategic decision-support frameworks
• Bachelor's degree from a leading university required; MBA or relevant advanced degree advantageous

Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of regional growth strategies and strategic business plans across Europe
• Conduct market, customer, product, pricing and competitive analyses to support strategic decision-making and commercial acceleration initiatives
• Develop recommendations relating to market expansion, portfolio optimisation, monetisation opportunities and adjacent growth areas
• Evaluate build, buy, partner and invest opportunities to support long-term growth objectives
• Support acquisition activity including target screening, investment thesis development, strategic assessment, due diligence and value creation planning
• Identify and assess strategic partnership opportunities across technology, AI, data, product and distribution ecosystems
• Contribute to capital allocation decisions, strategic planning cycles, investment prioritisation and budgeting processes
• Prepare executive-level analyses, recommendations and board materials for senior leadership review and decision-making
• Partner closely with senior stakeholders across Strategy, Corporate Development, Product, Pricing and regional business leadership teams to drive strategic alignment and execution

Education
