Job summary

Worklane GmbH in the Netherlands is seeking an Infrastructure Operations Engineer to manage our server and infrastructure environment across Europe, ensuring stability and security.

You will coordinate maintenance, drive automation, and collaborate with IT teams and vendors. A hands-on engineer with 5+ years in infrastructure operations and strong knowledge of Windows Server, virtualization, storage, backup, and ITIL is preferred.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in infrastructure operations or system administration.
• Experience with Windows Server, virtualization platforms, storage, and backup technologies.
• Knowledge of ITIL-based operational processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders across different locations.
• A proactive attitude and focus on service quality.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor server, virtualization, storage, and operating system environments
• Coordinate incident, problem, and maintenance activities to ensure service availability
• Manage patching, upgrades, lifecycle, and infrastructure maintenance activities
• Support capacity, performance, backup, and disaster recovery processes
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, and operational standards
• Maintain infrastructure documentation and operational procedures
• Collaborate with local IT teams, cybersecurity specialists, vendors, and other IT teams
• Identify opportunities for automation and operational improvements
