Job summary

That Recruitment Company is seeking an Engineering Manager for an established insurance software company in the Netherlands. You will lead a Scrum team of eight, coach engineers, and drive delivery while collaborating closely with the CTO.

You will support customer migration, shape platform development, and make architectural decisions with occasional hands-on coding. You’ll help foster a bilingual Dutch/English working environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading software engineering teams in insurance or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of Java and AWS; knowledge of Angular is a bonus.
• Excellent communication and people-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Scrum team of eight with focus on delivery and coaching.
• Collaborate with fellow Engineering Managers and report to the CTO.
• Support customer migration and ongoing platform development.
• Contribute to architectural decisions while remaining hands-on when needed.
• Help establish a bilingual Dutch/English working environment.
