Job summary

PPG is seeking an EHS Manager in the Netherlands to lead Environmental, Health, Safety & Security activities across locations. You will ensure compliance with local legislation and PPG standards while developing strategies that promote a strong safety culture and sustainable operations.

You will work with the Site Leadership Team and Country EHS Manager to protect people, facilities, and the environment, supporting business objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial or chemical environments.
• Strong knowledge of environmental, occupational health and safety regulations.
• Experience implementing EHS management systems and compliance programs.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel between sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation and continuous improvement of the site EHS Management System.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety and security regulations and PPG standards.
• Develop and execute local EHS strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Partner with site leadership to drive a proactive safety culture.
• Manage EHS programs, audits, inspections and risk assessments.
• Investigate incidents and environmental events, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
• Monitor EHS performance metrics and KPI reporting.
• Deliver EHS training and emergency preparedness activities.
• Collaborate with Process Safety Managers to meet process safety requirements.
• Manage EHS budgets and identify investments in EHS infrastructure.
• Support regulatory inspections and liaise with authorities.
• Facilitate EHS leadership meetings and report initiatives to stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce risk and enhance safety and environment.
